Alex Prager’s (b. 1979, the USA) new body of work titled Compulsion is currently being exhibited in London, New York and L.A. I just can’t wait to see the images…
Her recreations of movie still like images are dealing with femininity in pop culture and in ordinary life. Exaggerated retro style dresses and makeup, together with strong colors and hard quality of light are emphasizing split personality of a woman, who is at the same time a goddess and a servant.
