“What happens when photographer finds out that photo it self is dead and the life he is interested in is happening somewhere outside of the medium? In his work called Frequencography, author Bojan Radin wanted to assure him self of weather he might missed out some possible remains of life hidden beneath the basic elements of the image. He made an algorithm, KGB program, that would check out and turn around every single pixel and would put it to it’s place, not the same one as before but rather to a one that belongs to it. He would make an order and possibly take out of the image some of the last breaths of it’s life that he is so interested in. He trusted portraits of his fellow colleges to KGB algorithm and made a comparison between output and input. What he has got was an image that is exceptionally similar to a source image and that one exceptionally similar, in some other way, to something else. That is how Radin created a camera that makes photos of photos, interprets them and creates images – one step back and one step aside. Frequencography is author’s project of meta-image, meta-photography or meta-physical.”

Dear friends, if you are nearby come and see our ERF_collection exhibition on Thursday 16th of May at Slomškova ulica 3, Ljubljana, Slovenia!

Od 12.00 naprej bo na ogled zbirka neodvisnih fotografskih publikacij, ki sva jih zbrala urednika ERF Eva in Aljaž v preteklem letu, poleg tega bodo na ogled zini ki jih je izdala ERF.

Od 19.00 naprej sledi diskusija o fotografskem založništvu in samozaložništvu, kjer bomo v neformalnem ozračju razpravljali o tem, kako od ideje do izvedbe fotografskega zina ali druge publikacije.

S seboj lahko prinesete končane ali nedokončane fotografske projekte ali fotografije, za katere se vam zdi, da so primerni za objavo v zinu, lahko vam pomagamo z nasveti ali pa se dogovorimo o sodelovanju v kateri od prihajujočih edicij Ene Role FIlma!
